How to move camera with arrow keys while also using Cinemachine Follow + Look Ahead
I'm new to this and following some tutorials. Currently I have a 2D platformer game running with movement controls implemented. I used the Cinemachine Virtual Camera and set it to "Follow" the playable character. I have "Look Ahead" all set up as well. I also turned on "Ignore Y axis" so that my character's jumps wouldn't mess up the camera.
Everything works great, exactly as it is supposed to. But since the game is a 2D platformer, I started noticing that it would be really useful to "look down". As in, sometimes I'm standing on the edge of a platform, and I can't see too far below me. It would be really useful to be able to hold down the down arrow key, and while it is held down, have the camera move down within a set distance. Then if I let go of the down arrow key, have the camera snap back to being centered on the player.
How can I keep my current camera set up (Follow the player with look-ahead implemented) and add in the ability to press the down arrow key to move the camera?
Thank you for anyone who can help. Please try to explain it simply if possible(:
