Getting low fps on a very simple scene
I have a very simple scene. I tried to make the game from the brackeys tutorials. I have like 2500 rectangular solids in the scene with 2 materials and nothing else. But still I'm getting an average of 30fps with horrible looking shadows. And I am getting some massive occasional fps drops, dropping to 2-3fps.
I tried using the unity profiler. I have, Total Batches: 371, SetPass Calls: 130, Tris: 4.1k, Verts: 8.2k. And most of my time per frame was used by FixedUpdate.PhysicsFixedUpdate. Sometimes the EditorLoop jumps up to 91%
I'm using unity 2020.1.1f1. I tried playing the game on android and the game keeps getting slower on each run. How do I optimize my game so that it runs on at least 60fps consistently? Some suggestions on performance improvement would be really appreciated. Thanks!
