unity does not open project?
I was working on my project for 4+ hours, tweaking some scripts when suddenly Unity crashed and shut the program down.
I tried reopening but was not able to. What happens is that the splash screen and loading window pop up, and as soon as the loading window runs the process "Registering Packages", the window goes away (the splash screen stays on) but the Editor never pops up, the program gets killed. I can still create new projects and open other projects.
I've tried opening the File Explorer and deleted the Library and Temp folders, restarting my laptop and toggling the Wi-Fi, updating Unity and a combination of these methods, but no good. I've also tried starting a new project and transferring all the folders over from the original, but this results in the new project also not opening. I am thinking it could have been a result of my script-tweaking, as I had a considerable amount of commands running on Awake() method. I'm not sure but maybe it's related.
I have read a lot of other similar posts but none of the solutions were able to help me. If someone found a fix or knows what is going on, I would appreciate a suggestion!
