Why does my LOD tree decrease performance ?
Hi all,
I'm quite new to Unity and have performance issue with my trees and details (grass and flowers) : I think they shouldn't lower the FPS as much as they do.
So I tried to use LOD and made a LOD version of one of my trees that seems nice.
I then made a sample scene with only a player and a lot of this tree (with the Terrain / Trees tool) to see the difference between using the "full details" tree prefab and the LOD tree prefab.
But here is the problem : when I use the LOD version, the FPS are very much lower. This seems to come from the batches : I have 2519 "saved by batching" with the LOD trees while 0 with the full details tree.
I really don't understand this result. Am I doing something wrong with the LOD ?
