Hierarchy in Game?
I was wondering if there was a way to create a UI checklist to enable/disable items that are in a hierarchy. For example:
Object
---Object1
--------Box1
--------Box2
--------Box3
--------Box4
---Object2
--------Sphere1
--------Sphere2
If this is my hierarchy, is there a setup from script or whatever to dynamically create these based on the children?
I am not sure what you mean. Can you clarify and extend your question a bit?
Are you talking about Unity UI ("UI checklist")? Or about 3D objects ("Sphere", "Box")?
Are you talking about editor scripting or in-game creation of objects?
What do you want to disable/enable and what do you want to create? And what is "based on the children"?
I essentially want to take a hierarchy and make a UI menu that is dynamic depending on the children. What I have in my question is an example of a hierarchy. What I want in the end is for each of those to be a toggle, essentially, where if I toggle (with a UI toggle) 'Object2' the spheres will also be disabled, and so forth. I guess for it to look like a hierarchy too (indented).
Are you O$$anonymous$$ with an ugly OnGUI solution? ($$anonymous$$g. because its just a debug-menu, not intended to look "nice")? That would be a lot simpler to achive.
