For Loop and Null referance error Ios Scripting

I've recently started scripting for Ios, when i transferred my game over to ios I had a bunch of errors in my scripts - that wern't there when I was using the pc build.

One of such as this:

 for(  i : int = 0; i < howManyTargets; i++ ) //for every target add value to array
 {
     target = GameObject.Find("" + i).transform; //get target
     targets[i] = target; //add target to array
 }

I added ..( var I : int = 0 ... , which fixed one problem (saying that it couldn't recognise 'i') but now i'm getting a null referance exception on the target line.

If anyone could help with this problem that would be amazing :).

Also, is there a link somewhere which can tell me the difference between Ios / Pc builds and/or considerations/differences between each?

Thanks in advance!

Well, do you actually have GameObjects whose names are integers? ;) The names of GameObjects are those that appear in the hierarchy in the editor. Numbering them 0,1,2...,n is a little unorthodox, though valid enough. Anyway, the only thing that can cause GameObject.Find to return null, and therefore assign null to the variable called target, is the failure to find a gameobject with the name you're providing as its argument. So you need to ascertain that you actually have GameObjects with those names, and that they're active as well. (Inactive GameObjects don't respond to Find.)
