LOD Nesting, possible?
Say for example we have a large building. From far away this would be one simplified mesh. As the player gets closer we want to switch to a system where each part (say bottom, middle and top part) of the building has its own independent LOD system. Is this possible out of the box or should we write our own LOD system? I did search through the forums but could not find an answer to this.

I'm working through a similar issue with very large trees. I am using Mesh Slicer, plus Mantis LoD, plus Amplify Impostors. I'm still in the middle of it, but I've found a comment that seems to indicate that nested LoD is possible, which I'll be using. If you see this post after all this time, I'd be curious what your solution was.
