Xbox One Controller not detected in Unity for Mac

Unity does seem to detect my wired Xbox One controller on my MacBook. I tried reseting the controller, but I didn't get any results in play mode. I also heard that Unity will make a message into the console saying it detects a controller, but I am not even getting that.
