Can I make a child not move when the parent does?
So I am using my own script to make iron sight using javascript, I have the crossbow parented to the main camera in the standard assets FPS Controller. I want the camera to move but not the crossbow. I want to know if this is possible and if so how. I need the camera to move just its position on all 3 axis.
An option would be to do something like that in your camera movement script:
// In your camera movement script, add that reference:
var crossbow : Transform;
function Update()
{
// Before you movement logic, do that:
crossbow.parent = null;
// Your movement logic here...
// After your movement logic, do that:
crossbow.parent = transform;
}

@sKiTx_Gaming I do not believe it is possible, a child can do its own thing but the child will need to everything the parent does no exceptions
