How to allow multiple nav mesh agents with different slope climbing abilities to use the same nav mesh?
I have a terrain that I've generated a nav mesh for. My nav mesh agents need to have different abilities for the slope angle that I allow them to climb. For instance a spider might be able to climb a steeper slope than a zombie. If I bake the max slope of my nav mesh as 45 it works grate for the case of the zombie, however no navigation information exists for the spider who I might want to be 75 max slope.
I don't feel like nav mesh layers will help here, I can't go and just tag everywhere that zombies shouldn't be allowed to navigate up on the terrain (too much work). It seems what I need is either 2 nav meshes which does not seem possible. Or somehow modify the nav mesh agent to avoid any paths that take a particular slope?
Anyone have additional insight on how the Navigation system can support my needs?
Thanks!
