blender baked texture in unity
hi all,
i have created a lime object with some material in blender. it looks good enough for me but i can not accomplished to import it into unity editor. i baked the materials as texture image but it does not work in unity.
am i doing something wrong?
in this address you can find what i have done so far: https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/131795/exporting-blender-material-to-unity?noredirect=1#comment226687_131795
thanks.
Would this link help? https://forum.unity.com/threads/materials-showing-up-as-solid-color.18653/
I've always fixed it by modelling in blender then texturing and exporting in sketchup because I've never understood UV mapping :(
Did you save out the baked texture to a location that unity can find it? Usually I put it in the same folder to the material if it's exclusive to that material, but making separate texture and material folders should work as long as blender's material is also pointing to the texture on the hard drive, and not a packed texture in the blend file. It should show up. Sometimes you have to update the imported objects or even delete them and re-import them for changes done in blender to overwrite ones Unity insists on using. Otherwise, Drag and Drop the Texture over the Albedo/Diffuse part of the $$anonymous$$aterial in Unity. As long as your UVs are looking like they do in your stackexchange post, it should look right, you may want to set the material color to white also, so the texture is controlling the color now.
