Vive Trackers model rotation shifts when running the scene in Unity
The Vive trackers are in the expected orientation when I view them in the Vive waiting screen (the one with the Vive logo and the large planet; I turned off the home beta feature). Anyway, I hit start for my scene, I put the headset on, I see the trackers in the correct orientation as it is loading, then once the scene starts the trackers flip 90 degrees towards the side of the tracker with the charging port. I am using the Vive Input Utility and can't figure out how to get them to retain their correct positioning.
I am trying to get 2 trackers working right now, though will eventually add more.

The same thing is happening to me, though it sometimes pops into the right orientation if I bring another tracker or controller into the playspace. The recent SteamVR update from Oct 5 sounds related/suspicious:
"Changed left/right hand selection for Vive trackers in “handed” mode so that they will always be selected after Vive controllers (or any controllers) if those are present. This fixes the issue with Vive Tracker users finding that their controllers don’t work to control anything."
