Character-Only Shadows
Hey, guys.
I'm not looking for full realtime shadows, with the lights, but what I need is a workaround; a script or shader that will create a shadow underneath the object I specify, like the main character of the game or something without using the lights.
Something like these shadows:
Anyone got something like this?

Look with inspector at MeshRenderer of the game objects you have. There's a checkbox for Cast Shadow and Receive Shadows. This should do what you're looking for.
Sadly, what I meant was a workaround to realtime shadows. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
If you want to have a 'blob' shadow, try using projectors (Assets -> Import Package -> Projectors). Basically create projector, point it downwards and make it a child of the object who needs a shadow. $$anonymous$$ove transform a bit higher up. If your character can rotate over other axis than Y only you could consider not making projector a child but have a script added to it that positions the projector to where character is every frame.
