How do you deactivate a collider/gameobject for one player in a 2-player game with a button?
Heyyo folks! I am sorry if my question is fuzzy, but I'm lost and I am hoping I can find some help here!
So, I'm creating a sort of party game in 2D where the players jump up and down on different layers to avoid being shot by the other player. The layers are for example a row of cars, and if you jump you get to another row further back and higher up in the screen. I am using edge colliders to make it possible to stand on these, so getting up on them is no problem whatsoever.
My struggles lies in how to get the players to be able to get down from one collider and land on the one that is underneath... We managed to deactivate one layer when you press DOWN, however, this made both players drop instead of only the one. Do you have any ideas on what to do??
I am new to coding, but I was thinking of something like putting the colliders on trigger, and when that is true you can somehow make the last triggered collider deactivate...? Yeah I don't know how to do that though ;;; Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!
