Unity Recorder error v2020.2.7f1

Hey guys I am having an error with the Unity recorder. I am trying to record an animation by changing its position which automatically adds a keyframe, but as soon as I'm done and I press the animation play button nothing happens. Then when I press the 'scene preview' off it resets the character back to its original position.

Any help would be so appreciated, I have been unable to work for 3 days now and have been asking multiple times in different discords with no response :/
