Unity not allowing drag and drop for assets in Project View
Unity is not allowing me to drag and drop assets in my project internally or externally. I keep on getting the not allowed cursor whenever I try to drag anything in my Project Assets tab, whether dragging an asset from file explorer, or just trying to move an asset into a subfolder within unity. Dragging into Components properties in the Inspector tab & into Hierarchy tab seems to work fine though. I'm using unity 2020.3.18f1, but even the 2018.4.36f1 version I have installed using the Unity hub has the same issue. This is extremely inconvenient, as I cannot organize my resources into folders. Please let me know what to do.
I think I have the same issue with 2021.1.7f1. Not sure though, maybe it's just me noobing as I am very new to this. Bug or not, it would be much appreciate if someone gave us a solution to the problem.

Check for corrupted files in your system. You can do this by typing SFC/scanow in your Command Prompt (Run as Administrator), and pressing enter. It'll automatically search for corrupted files in your system and successfully repair them (if any). I had this same issue some months ago, this method worked for me. I recommend you also update your OS to the latest version. I hope this works!

Another way to import assets into your Unity Project is for you to open your Project in the Unity Engine and click Import New Asset or go to Assets > Import Package > Custom Package, and locate your asset on your computer.
