number of scripts that can be added as animation properties
Hi,
I have a gameobject that has two attached scripts, and I want to animate some of those scripts' variables with animation.
So I created an animator controller and an animation clip, and attached them to the gameobject. In the Animation window I clicked the 'Add Property' button, but there is only one script visible.
The visible one is the top script in the Inspector window. When I changed the order from the Inspector, the visible property from Animation window also changed.
Does mecanim animation supports single attached script only?
I see the same thing in v5.3.2 and have yet to find anything about this in the documentation. A workaround - that feels like a total hack - would be to add an empty game object as a child to the object you want to animate and add a single component whose values you animate (from the parent) and then pass back to the original object on Update (since the animated properties do not activate the set property in C#). You will be able to access the child's properties from the parent's animator, so at least all of that data will be in one place.
