Evaluating Unity for my project - exposing object component properties
1) Is it possible in realtime (via c sharp scripting functions) to adjust the component properties of an object? Are the component variables of an object capable of being exposed to C sharp scripts? For instance can an end user gameplayer resize, change textures on the fly, etc of an object while the actual game is playing? Ideally (during game play) I would like the player to be able to change various component property variables of an object which are normally setup during development.
2) Is it possible to obfuscate the proprietary code I develop which will eventually be running on the client system? If I have mathematical routines I don't want exposed but they must run on the client side, can I reasonably obfuscate them from a decompiler?
Thank you in advance for your help. I am very excited about the power in this engine. I have worked with Torque and other game platforms, but this one seems quite unique in being able to play so effortlessly in browsers and other devices.
