I cannot delete the childof a prefab.
So, I have my player character prefab. I added to it a 3D model, .blend file, and when I loaded it said I should use Blender 2.45. I have Blender 2.5 so I imported the model and exported it. Added the new model, didn't work, now I cannot delete it. Neither when I press delete, nor when I right click and click on delete, it doesn't work. I tries resting Unity, nothing. Any tips?
I am having the same problem, this seems like a bug to me!

I have a child of a prefab and have the same problem. The delete link is there in the context menu, but doesn't seem to do anything. This was in the PROJECT pane though, not the SCENE HIERACHY pane.
The solution (for me) was to drag the prefab into the scene, delete the child object, then click on the master prefab object and hit Apply to apply the changes back to the master prefab.
Thank you for this. This is definitely a bug but this work-around worked for me.

I have the same problem on Unity 3.4.1. Maybe because I'm using prefab, I've created in other project and copied the files ( i think all of dependencies). It's not much complicated prefab. I can create it again, but I wonder if this problem has solution too. Another time recreating prefab from scratch can be lot of work.
Now it's just plane mesh with two unity native meshes as childs (TextMesh and Box Mesh)
