How do I prevent flickering starfield in space game?

My starfield is made up of 3 transparent PNG files placed on a quad. The quad's texture offset is dependant on the player's position. My stars however are "twinkling" and I don't want them to. I understand the problem is that Unity is trying to work out how to render a single star on a specific pixel. I am wondering if there is a workaround for this. I have tried out a few things like the anti-aliasing in the Post Processing profile however nothing seems to work. Is there a proper way to prevent this from happening?
