Update to beta version of Unity 4 concern?
Hi Guys,
Thanks in advance for any help, I have bought a license for the beta version of Unity 4 and before I upgrade I would like to know what is involved in the upgrade and if anyone had any problems opening there unity 3.5 scenes in version 4?
Thanks for any help, James.

I can open my project in Unity 4 but there are a lot of errors to do with FBX importing and other issues so it's been a non-starter for me (models are weirdly different sizes etc). Plus you must backup your project because if it doesn't open then it's trashed.
Unity Support are currently looking in to my issues - I imagine many projects are just fine - but make that backup and be warned.

A rather handy tip ! :)
I'm not 100% positive of this, but I believe once you open it in 4 you can never go back and open it in earlier versions. So even if it does open in 4, if you need to go back then you're out of luck. So, make a backup.
Dave's right, once you upgrade to beta the project can't be opened in 3.5.
Also, all projects published with the beta have a label in the bottom right corner stating that they were made with the beta version (like the pro trial has). If you're trying to push something out the door before Unity 4 is officially released, you're not going to want to use the beta to do it.
