cant activate version of Unity

Hi I have just downloaded unity personal version and tried to activate, it takes me to manual activate but when I go to the activation URL (https://license.unity3d.com/manual) it gives me a 503 error most of the time, and in the rare occasion when I can get through it then does not accept the license request.

This has scuppered me completely, has anyone else had this issue? I cant find any info in the FAQ for this issue, any help would be greatly appreciated.
