importing from maya uv problem
hello, i have a model, in maya uv texture editor it has one uv. but when i export it to the unity (.fbx), unity shows 2 uvs: uv, uv2. how can i fix it? could you please help?

second uv increases the vertex count. doesn't it?
It doesn't increase verts, but the batching limit is cut in half. This happened to me too and I'm trying to fix it. Now all of my models don't batch. Big pain.
