transform.parent = X is bugged on 2018.1.0f2?
Sometimes it works ok but sometimes it does not change the parent although Debug.Log(transform.parent); prints the supposed new parent. After that happens it always prints the supposed new parent even erasing the parent assignation line and re-playing. But really the parent is not being changend... I have to close and open Unity and then it prints the correct first parent and change ok for a few times...

maybe set the child of the parent object to the local object instead. Would be easier. I guess transform.parent requires there to be no parent.
How am I supposed to set child of a parent ins$$anonymous$$d the parent of a child? I tried transform.parent as I said and transform.SetParent, both fails.
