Working at company projects and personal projects at the same computer (company with pro, personal projects without pro license)
Hello,
I am a Unity developer who works professionally for a company, and for the company I have a pro Unity license. However, I am also working on a few personal projects (or projects with a couple of friends), in which we do not have Unity pro license. Due to the circumstances I am in, I also use my personal laptop for both projects (work and personal). I have activated my pro license on this personal laptop, so is there any possibility to work on the same laptop on both pro and free projects? Obviously, getting another computer just to develop a personal project is not a solution (as proposed somewhere on the answers)
I tried to look for information online, but unfortunately this seems to be a very gray zone on what is allowed and what is not...
Regards, MF
You can install multiple Unity editors (and multiple versions) to different locations on the same computer. Also you can log in with different users in unity. I only have a free version of unity so i'm not sure if pro license is dependent on user or editor tho.
Even if I log in on another user the pro license will still remain active.
