The reverse mouse-trap mechanic !
Hello hello !
I've been struggling to set up what seems to be a simple physics mechanism and was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have two rectangle gameobjects connected with each other with a hinge joint. The angle is limited so the bottom part will align with the top part when the object is resting, just like on graphic (1) below. What i'm looking for is through code to kind of pull the bottom part upwards like the fling of a mousetrap coming back to its starting position abruptly (2) , it that makes sense. And then bring it back to the (1) position abruptly as well..
The top part would never move tho, only the bottom part needs to "contract" and release.
I've thought of using a spring joint with an empty gameobject somewhere and get it to pull the side of the bottom part, but without success.. Any ideas how I could make this work?
