How to achieve realistic models
Hi all, I am new to Unity and game development in general. I am intending to use it for architectural representation/ walkthroughs etc. For this I am seeking to get the most photo-realisic representation possible. Things I have implemented so far are:
B2M textures Deffered lighting + baked lighting Tonemapping, Bloom, lens flare to FPC Extending scene with urban terrain + grass + trees etc To come: sound
After this I am running out of ideas on what more to do to the scene to make it realistic. Is it just about playing more with lighting and textures or do you have any suggestions?
Thanks heaps!
You might also consider normal and spec maps. Unity is capable of some HDR, too, I believe, but it sounds like you might already be touching on that.
Bear in $$anonymous$$d that all of these render tricks can make your system requirements skyrocket, if used without care.
Thanks for that! I must say that the unity community has been so helpful with getting this far already. Have been implementing normal and spec maps with B2$$anonymous$$. $$anonymous$$ade such a difference.
