Select character using click and work on same scrip

I'm trying simple task. I have 2 character on my scene. I want to select one of them using mouse click and then move it using keyboard. When I select 2nd character , it also have to work with same script for movement.

I'm not getting how to create this kind of General script, which can work with anynumber of character.

I'm able to select object using RayCast but can't connect them with single script.

Any help?
