iOS Trial Help: How to Turn it On???

I am in real need of an answer of how to add the iOS trial to the desktop evaluation I installed. I can't find anything to indicate what I have to do and I have just two days left.

There's a huge opportunity in the hopper right now.

Can someone get back to me please. I asked the same question nearly a month ago.

According to the downloads page, downloading the Mac version of the demo will automatically include an iOS preview as well. It is integrated into the Unity app so you just need to launch Unity and go to the build settings under "File" and change to iOS settings if you want to build to the device.

On windows, sorry, you cannot develop for iOS.

Since $$anonymous$$ACs get to try out the IOS license as a trail, do Windows owners also get a free taste of the Android License?

Nice try, but nope. You can try requesting one from sales though if you want to try it out.

Hallelujah. $$anonymous$$aybe they might want to add a link on the download page: How-To setup for iPhone?

I think the problem me and other had is we had the 2.x version of the IDE where iPhone was a separate executable. It would be helpful for those people to highlight in the download section that the choice of IDE type can found under the File -> Build Settings menu.

May be you activate the free version on activation page. Go to Help -> Enter serial number ... menu. Select internet activation. Now select trial version not free.

I've followed the suggestion to activate with the pro-ios trial version. So far so BAD!!!

I will re-try and figure out what's happening. One window reported that the license was approved, but another open window said "contacting server" After a while, I closed that window. So maybe something didn't quite work in the licensing.

O$$anonymous$$. Got more promising results the second time. Now the Unity window is darker and iOS can be chosen for build and run. Now I have to figure out what it did run. I had my iTouch running Unity Remote and am working on making something happen. The remote said "Press Play" but on the $$anonymous$$acBook, there was no game. Hummm. $$anonymous$$ore figuring out to do.

Aha! I was running the 3rd Person Shooter Tutorial and it wouldn't run. Console reports a bug in it. Will see if I can fix it ... after lunch.

That did the trick.

I have a question. If I activate the 30 days trial of Unity Pro with iOS, would it be Unity Pro + iOS Pro or Unity Pro + Regular iOS?

I just downloaded the trial and can't build for iOS. It says my license doesn't cover iOS publishing in Build Settings dialog....

I second that "my license doesn't cover iOS" status for the trial version.

I just got my latest GD magazine and read the article placing Unity as the top choice of casual developers. So I got the free version to figure out how Unity works. I'd also like to use it to teach a game making class this summer

Before the class, I'd like to publish a small free app. I'm hoping this could all be done using the free version of Unity or the 30-day trial Pro and iOS. I just got my Apple iOS Dev ID.

This is possible, right?

a) Download $$anonymous$$ac version of Unity. b) Activate and choose the 30-day option. c) Do your magic and build for iOS.

Note that publishing is not permitted using the trial version. You'll need to purchase a license copy before publishing to the app store.
