Imported Mesh from Maya lists all parts
Hello, I recently started cutting my teeth with Unity, and I've run into a problem with importing meshes from Maya. The meshes I import list every single individual part of the mesh. Each nail, cube, or face that I used in my model. Is there a way that I can combine these pieces so each individual part isn't labelled? I'd like my coffin model to have two separate pieces. The body, and the lid.
I made this model a while ago, so I'm wondering if the issue is in my modeling technique? And if so, what can I do to correct this in the future. Thanks very much for your answers!
