Hinge Joint 2D with seperate push movement through physics
I have a cube that can rotate around an origin RigidBody2D within a specified range using a Hinge Joint 2D. I rotate to a desired angle using Rigidbody2D.MoveRotation, this works and I can use this to lift off the ground when the cube pushes against other objects.
I would also like to introduce an additional push/pull movement away and towards the origin using physics to allow for a catapult like effect that can launch both this object as well as other rigidbodies but I am not sure how to approach this, any help would be greatly appreciated.
[Edit] I have a feeling a Slider Joint 2D could potentially work for what I need? but have so far been unsuccessful. maybe using joints isn't the best approach in this case?
