Linux build restricting permissions?

I built two Linux .x86 & .x86_64 programs via the Build function (command + B) on Mac and have tried to run the exec. file on Raspbian Jessie, elementaryOS, and Kali (don't ask why). I have noticed that none of them allow executing, even trying the chmod 777 code.
