Loading scenes as sites on a map

Hi,

I'm new to Unity and these forums so let me know if I should provide more/different information.I'm creating a game that starts as a map with sites shown on it. I want the user to click the sites and with that click to load the scene to view that site.

So I created the map (Scene 1 in build settings), the text with the site names (3D text gameobject), and six additional scenes corresponding to the different sites. So for each of those site text objects I have this script attached:

function Update () { if(Input.GetButtonDown("Fire1")) {Application.LoadLevel("SmallCemF_P1"); } }

And obviously, each site has a different associated textstring after Application.LoadLevel.

BUT MY ISSUE IS THAT .. with every click, the scene that is loaded is always the same , and thus not the different ones I have assigned. And playing around with it, toggling different scenes on and off in the build settings, it seems like Unity is assigning a sequence that I have nothing to do with. I am specifically calling certain scenes but it just seems to go to either the next in the list or not even in some cases (sometimes I goes to the second to the last scene in the build settings list.

I've looked through the documentation info and other posts on these forums but haven't run across discussion of this issue. Does Unity only allow a certain sequence of levels loaded? Can I not go to scene 6 before I load scene 2 for instance?

Thanks for any help you can provide, Leah
