Weapons Names And Models Licensing
I'm currently working on a new project and i am modeling weapons for the game which look pretty similar to the real gun.
So my question is: Can I use the weapons names and models in my game? Is there any licensing problem with that? If there is a problem, what should I do otherwise?
for example: I have created a 3d model of a glock 17 which looks more or less like the real thing, can I use the name "Glock 17" in the game? And also use the model itself?
Hope that my point is clear.

In my opinion :
If your game is commercial, you can't, design and name are owed by the gun's company. You have to see with them the conditions to use these.
If it's a personal project, i don't think the gun's companies will do something. $$anonymous$$aybe they will sent you an email first to advise you.
ok.. And what if the model is not 100% like the real thing but it has just the general shape?
