Your system has run out of application memory - Mac
so the title says a lot... basically, Mac is "pausing" the Unity app giving me the choice to close it or die..
I looked in activity manager and the wired memory is way up (10gbs???)
basically how do I stop this? running newest beta build (non-beta does the same)
thanks in advance y'all

I also have the same issue since the 2017 update! It uses 7gb of ram and my teammate's unity 2017 on PC is using 200mb. We're using the same project. Please help.

I have the same problem and I have 32 GB of RAM. This is not due to lack of RAM.

Upgrading your RAM, or buying a better PC should work :)
Horrible feedback, there is a legit issue with Unity. I would suggest downgrading if you can.

Another one having this issue. I am running a Macbook Pro. 16gb memory. In Activity Monitor it shows Unity using 1gb and total memory used is less tha 25%. Is this a Unity update issue? I am running 5.6.3p2. Help would be nice. @RGB_Red_Fish @SamuelGnah
