Creating depth for background objects
Im trying to build a space shooter game. I am having some difficulties in getting the background I need. I currently have a planet which I have as a prefab, a texture that is a nebula and a texture with only stars on it. Now what I want is the stars to appear in the extreme back of my scene (furthest off from the human eye), the nebula and the planet to appear on the same kind of z-axis, so that they are visible on the same depth to the human eye. And on top which will be closest to the human eye will be the player, the enemies, and all the game related stuff. Will the parallax effect work for this? Or do i need to create another camera for my background? Im really confused on how to achieve this effect so if someone could guide me that would be pretty awesome :) Thanks
