Using the Github Student Pack for Unity Multiplayer
I know of Photon Unity Networking and Amazon AWS as services for setting up servers for multiplayer games.
I also know of Unity Multiplayer, but I think it's a peer to peer framework and there are no servers included in the service (right?)
I just remembered the Github Student pack, and there are a lot of services provided free in there for a number of years. I haven't researched all of them, but there is a lot of jargon in the descriptions that I don't understand.
I was wondering, is there a way to use any of the services there to set up a server based multiplayer system for a Unity game? I see stuff like Digital Ocean which is offering cloud hosting and stuff, but I'm not sure if you can set up a Unity multiplayer server with a cloud hosting service or not.
Has anyone done something of this ilk before?
