How can I make a convincing forest without lag?
Hi, I want to make a horror game that takes place in a forest. I'm using the SpeedTree 8 assets. The performance was fairly playable until I mass placed the trees on the neighbor terrains outside of the playable map. This lagged the entire editor, so I need to keep them disabled for now. I tried disabling Smooth LOD, lowering the shadow distance, and making billboard closer but it still did nothing. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
