Make a 2D side panel in a 3D game
Hi all,
First of all I would like to apologise if this question has been asked already or is very obvious (I only picked up Unity a week ago), if so I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. I have scoured the internet in search for an answer with no luck...
I am (attempting) to create a game involving throwing a ball.
Initially I used a DragHandle to throw the ball which did work but due to it being a 3D world and the camera being at an angle, the ball was never thrown properly.
I was looking to make some sort of panel on the right where the player could set the angle (Maybe with line Renderers?) and power (Slider bar?) of the ball but I am struggling to make this work well.
Amy help or suggestions of better ways to do things are welcome.
Attached is roughly what I'm looking for.
Thanks

I think Unity has a solution to this specificly, if I remember correctly they even have a tutorial. https://learn.unity.com/tutorial/live-sessions-on-ui
I have tried to use the panel feature and this would be a great option but I'm struggling to get the ball to look right on it as the dimensions of the ball don't look right on it
