Best way to manage object memory/world streaming for large worlds nowadays?
Hi,
I couldn't find any posts from recent years answering what the best option is, and managing loading/unloading of objects is new to me so my terminology might be wobbly.
I see that World Streamer 2 has the features I need, listed below, and was popular a couple years ago. Are the World Streamer 2 / SECTR tools from the asset store still the best and most convenient options for my purposes or has something better/freeer/nativer come out?
The ideal solution for me would be able to replace far away terrain and objects with low-poly versions, and unload further away objects completely. It would also have an option for smaller objects/particles/audio/lights to have a lower distance threshold, and I guess colliders to trigger loading/unloading of some areas would be nice too. I haven't built my world up yet, so I don't mind centering it around the solution's structure.
Cheers
