Layered cameras and culling mask not quite working.
I am want to have a true to scale planet in my realistic space game. So to decrease the performance impact, I am trying to figure out how to display a scaled planet on a different layer using perspective effects to give the impression the planet is much larger than it actually is. But for some reason, after I set the cameras to cull the correct layers, the cameras still don't display what I want. The scaled camera usually doesn't display my planet in the background, and my scaled planet is always visible from the main camera. If anybody has any idea what might be happening here, I need to know.
