Unity web player on Google Drive not loading

I ma trying to put a really small demo (50MB) on the web through Google Drive. I build the project as a web player build. I upload the 2 files to a public Google Drive folder. Itake the ID of the HTML file and place it in the link: https://googledrive.com/host/0B_NmATrtuegXazdGMWxjeHZqa2s

I open the link and the player starts but it does not load. It just stays there like this:

doesn't work for me, my URL looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2I936y12hlbOUQxWW9BSE92eGs/view?usp=sharing

there is no "open?id=" or "&authuser=0" to replace... any other ideas?

Google recently changed their policy for public sharing of files (much as Dropbox did before them). It's still possible, but a bit fiddly:

  • Upload your .html and .unity3d files to a folder on Google Drive

  • Get your public-share-link of this folder. E.g.:

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_JhWNJaHKI1NnNWenk0dXhQams&authuser=0

  • Now replace "drive.google" with "googledrive", replace "open?id=" with "host/", and remove "&authuser=0", to give:

    https://googledrive.com/host/0B_JhWNJaHKI1NnNWenk0dXhQams

  • finally, add /YourGameName.html at the end of the url:

    https://googledrive.com/host/0B_JhWNJaHKI1NnNWenk0dXhQams/YourGameName.html

Nope. Adding that to the end of the URL gives a, inavlid URL error.

Clearly you need to replace "YourGameName.html" with the actual name of your game...

I've tried just now and the steps as written above work for me - that's all I can say.
