How to set area of map to be captureable
I am looking to design a system which allows for certain spots of my map to be capture-able. When this area is capture-able I would like to make to so that only the group/guild/etc that captured it can build in that area. I am at a loss of even how to begin this. If anyone has a link to a breakdown of something similar, or even a starting point. Id very much appreciate it.
Design questions are better asked on Unity forums. Unity Answers if for single specific technical question. And as you post your answer, I suggest you include concrete details. What is a group/guide? Is it the player and AIs? Other network players? Or/ How do whatever entities do the capture something? From the map or is the map a reflection of a game scene? What defines the area for building? Circle? Square? Some other shape? And so on.
