cant run unity on windows 7 64 bit, an error
i wanted to try unity 3d 3.0, but it only says: "this product is incompatible with Sooftice. An uninstall of softice is required for correct operation"
I just retagged the question -- popular as it is, the "error" tag isn't all that useful ;) [$$anonymous$$ike, if you have editing powers, maybe you could add "softice conflict" into the question itself?]

Yes, it can be. Make sure you back up your registry before you take out the keys. Also, programs generally hide additional files in the "Commmon" folder under "Program Files (x86)". Make sure to delete the folder in relation to that software as well, if it's there.

If you've got softice installed, uninstall it. License protection software rarely works with it

That's the very same problem i have but i couldn't remove softice using the unnstall shortcut, so I deleted it manually but Unity Editor still show me the error; Can it be related to registry keys still installed in windows regedit?
