Collision Detection doesn't work on sides of the object? Half Collision?
the problem is that i am getting this weird half/incomplete type of collision everytime my player hits the obstacle on its side.
my collisions are working fine except one time when my player hits the obstacle on its side. its a 3D endless runner with box collider on everything. the collisions work fine when my player runs directly into the obstacle but when i take a turn really close to the obstacle aka when i hit it on its side collision DOES take place and i also hear the sound associated with collisions but instead of stopping the game and bringing up the UI the game continues and it also makes the running speed of my player really low as if the whole physics system has gone slow or something.
then to end the game i have to collide it properly again from the front for it to register.
i tried changing the size of my box colliders and also added a physics material to it. i also have some collectables in the game with the same colliders and settings but all of them behave fine, the only problem is with these obstacles.
