Hover vehicle in a tunnel
Remember Ballistics? The game where you ride a super-fast hoverbike through tunnels? Well, I'm trying to implement the same thing in Unity. Say I've got a mesh that is the tunnel. Then there's the vehicle mesh. How do I go about and make it "hover" on the tunnel's inner surface (up, down, left, right)?

Did you find how to do that?
My initial idea is that you generate the tunnel mesh, it gives you a maths equation to define the edge of the tunnel, and then you say... if your spaceship goes close to the same maths equation, it is near edge. tricky thing is then generating good tunnels in mesh and furnishing them. someone made a metaballs script unity wiki community site, if you look at winamp monkey visualisation it is made with metaballs, also another vis by rian geiss same tool to make some rock pillars i dunno the name of it.
