How do I make a texture tile differently on different sides of an object? (2018.3)
Hi, I'm a relative noob to Unity. I made a little 32x32 texture and put it on a cube that I'm using as a floor in my testing level, which has XYZ dimensions 5x1x10. When I tile it on the top face so that it's 5x10 aligned to the grid, it applies the tile amounts to the other faces as well. How would I go about making the texture tile in different dimensions on different sides so that my game doesn't have to be made up of perfect cubes?
I've heard that I could make a UV map for my objects but I feel like there has to be some way to automate that part, because that sounds horribly tedious to do on every object bigger than 1x1x1.
I'm also using version 2018.3, if that affects the answer.
