Icosphere texture seam
Hi all,
I seem to be getting a texture 'seam', although I'm not sure its technically a seam but more a warp or distortion. I believe this can be reduced by increasing the recursion level of the icosphere, but never goes away.
Any advice on removing this effect?
Thanks, Jared
It looks to me like the UV coordinates for your mesh do not cover the full range from ([0 to 1], [0 to 1]). It looks more like you are using ([0 to 0.8],[0 to 1]) Did you create this mesh dynamically, or are you using the default sphere mesh included? If created yourself, I'd take a look at your UV's.
Thanks for the response, I think the problem was the algorithm for creating the IcoSphere. I've used another I found in a tutorial (https://www.binpress.com/tutorial/creating-an-octahedron-sphere/162) which seems to work.
I'll need to work through the differences and work out where I was going wrong.
Thanks.
