Providing an animated body for a first person controller & controlling the first person controller with VR Glove and Oculus
Hello Unity Community,
My group mates and I are to complete a project of our university with the usage of Unity, with the main tasks written in the title above. We are however new to Unity and are having difficulties completing our tasks. We have looked through a few tutorials and forum posts on how to provide a first person controller a body. One way to do it was combining the "First Person controller" with a "third person model".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-HWOKSrkqw (the tutorial for the idea above)
However the problem is giving the body an animation, like e.g. having moving legs instead of a floating body when the character moves. I have looked through a few tutorials about it but the steps do not seem to work.
And we have to be able to move the hands of the first person controller with a pair of VR Gloves and moving the "Camera" of the controller with an Oculus.
Can you guys maybe provide me with some informations and tutorials about how I can solve the problems stated in the title? We have looked through many guides and tutorials overselves but none so far have really worked the way we wanted.
Thankyou in advance and I look forward for your reply. Kai
