Question by nickyoso1 · Sep 05, 2012 at 02:00 PM · androidioslicenseserial

Installing different windows on pc, will my serial still work?

I am planning on installing a different version of windows on my pc. I currently have win 7 32bits and want to install win 7 64 bits.

I have unity free with ios and android.

Will everything still work on a different windows or do I have to migrate my license?

P.S. Is there a way for me to see the serial of my android and ios license?

Thanks in advance

you have to migrate your license. it's that simple,

just phone them or email them. they're very good about it.

this is explained endlessly everywhere :)

The problem with migrating my license is that my unity licenses are registered on an e-mail adress that is blocked, so I cannot send them a mail using the mail adress that I registered with

that is an utterly normal problem they deal with 1000 times a day.

to repeat myself. click "send!" and send them an email explaining the situation, or, pick up the telephone, err, iPhone, and phone them.

I have successfully moved my pro license to a brand new machine, so yes, that should work. Simply reinstall and activate again using the same serial number. You can see your serial number under "Help/About Unity...". There is only one serial number; I suppose it contacts the Unity license server in order to find out what platforms you are licensed for. They can even upgrade you without issuing a new serial and without the need to reactivate.

$$anonymous$$AD -- that's just because they give you TWO installs, those are your two installs.
